Fisher Pritchett is a twelve year little old boy who loves to do all things outdoors, but mostly hunting and fishing! He lives at home with his two younger siblings (Jackson and Sadie), dad (Chris Pritchett) and stepmom (Christina Pritchett). Fisher is also a brother to three other siblings (Caitlin, Landon, and Claire). Fisher started sixth grade in August 2023, full of energy, excitement and determination! As you can imagine, he brings so much joy into many lives around him. Little did he know, in just one short month, his normal would be flipped upside down once again. Fisher’s fight with Leukemia began in August of 2021. By the grace of God, many prayers, and a huge support team, Fisher beat the Leukemia and made it into remission. However, in September of 2023, Fisher and his family got the news that the Leukemia had relapsed - at an exponential rate. Following this news, Fisher spent 35 days in the Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital. During his time at the hospital, he was treated with several rounds of chemotherapy. Fisher was released from the hospital after treatment to have some time at home where he finds the most peace during these times. At the end of the chemotherapy his bone marrow was checked again for cancer. The results showed chemotherapy worked but not as well as we had hoped and the results also let us know he was no longer a candidate for CAR T-Cell Therapy. Earlier this week we found out he is a candidate for an immunotherapy infusion which he will begin on November 17th for 28 days and can be done while he’s at home. We all share in their pain, empathizing with the uncertainty and fear that a childhood cancer diagnosis brings. Despite the difficulty this journey has brought and continues to bring, Fisher continues to inspire us with his courage and genuine spirit. UPDATE: We are now being referred to St. Jude in Memphis. We will be leaving next week.
