Everyone, I need to share a horrific story out of Wrightsville, GA that occurred a few days ago.

Just after midnight on Monday, Oct 27, Wrightsville firefighter Chad Wombles was attacked by a man wielding a Samurai sword while he was speaking with friend and Wrightsville police officer Jay Hood. The unprovoked attack outside of a convenience store left Chad with his right hand and left thumb completely severed. Officer Hood opened fire on the assailant, killing him.

Chad Wombles, husband and father of two, has dedicated much of his life to serving others in his community. Now, Chad has a long road to recovery and there are a lot of uncertainties. Please keep the Wombles in your thoughts and prayers.  There is also a gofundme account set up for the family as well as a lunch/dinner fundraiser set up at Cattlebay Restaurant.  Please support one or all of these fundraising events.

Also, a BIG shoutout to Officer Jay Hood for quickly eliminating the threat, saving Chad's life and likely several others inside the store. If you're in the area and see him, buy him lunch or at least shake his hand and thank him. The man is a hero.

Please consider helping this family of community servants while they navigate the difficult (and expensive) road to recovery.

A major portion of the proceeds from the sale of this shirt will go to Chad Wombles to help offset medical and other expenses.

Thank you for your support!
