Landry Shaye Dixon is an 11 year old battling with severe scoliosis. She’s been seen by multiple specialists and her curvature has worsened from 22 degrees to 69 degrees in less than a year. She has adapted with the fast pace of her changing body, but it’s beginning to affect her breathing and every day functioning. According to specialists, she is past the point of the helpful use of braces. Landry will be undergoing an extensive, several hour surgery on October 16, 2023 in Greenville, South Carolina. She is expected to spend several days in the hospital before coming home to recover and heal. Her full healing time will take several months, but doctors are expecting she will be out of school for about 3 weeks and will need full time care from her parents. We are selling shirts to show our love and support for Landry as she battles scoliosis and to ease the burden of her parents’ lost wages while she is recovering. Landry is a Johnson County resident and is a 6th grader at Johnson County Middle School. She is the daughter of Tal and Serena Dixon of Kite.
